Dual Input Heat Pump
The Dual Input Heat Pump is designed for residential, multifamily, retrofit, and other building applications requiring efficient multi-zone heating and cooling. Flexible indoor-unit configurations support a range of space layouts and project requirements, from individual residences to larger multi-unit deployments.
DUAL INPUT HEAT PUMP
DC-Primary, AC-Backup Air-to-Air Heat Pump System for Flexible Electrical Integration
An integrated air-to-air heat pump system engineered for multi-zone space conditioning with a dual-input electrical architecture. DC power serves as the primary operating input while conventional AC power provides backup and supplemental capacity. The system is designed to operate with utility power alone or integrate with onsite solar generation and battery storage, providing a flexible platform for electrification and distributed energy applications.

Direct PV electrical interface allows compatible photovoltaic arrays to connect directly to the heat pump through the dedicated DC input, eliminating the need for a separate PV-to-AC conversion stage solely to supply the HVAC load.

Dynamic DC/AC power coordination enables available solar generation and utility power to contribute to the operating load according to available DC generation and system demand, supporting higher utilization of onsite renewable generation.

All fan coil units use high-efficiency hydronic water-to-air heat exchange coils that are optimized for low water temperatures, ensuring fast and stable thermal performance in modern air-to-water heat pump systems.

CXI, High Wall, and Cassette units feature brushless, sealed DC fan motors that automatically adjust airflow to match load demand, improving part-load efficiency, reducing energy consumption, and maintaining quiet operation.

The units support flexible installation and coverage. CXI consoles fit wall or floor applications, High Wall units provide higher capacity for larger spaces, Cassette models integrate into ceilings with four-way air discharge for balanced airflow, and VMB units allow concealed ducted distribution for multi-zone or whole-home systems.

All units can operate independently or as part of a zoned hydronic system, while the V18B electric resistance heater delivers 18,000 BTU per hour of supplemental heat during peak demand or extreme conditions without adding noise.
